Reader Reviews:

  • “This is perhaps one of the best books on this particular topic I have read. And I have read my fair share of relationship books. Sylvia D. Lucas is witty, clever, intelligent and logical as she makes many good points on topics ranging from marriage to myths surrounding gifts. This is a book I would highly recommend to all men – married, dating and single. It is that good (and important of a topic). I give it 5 out of 5 stars.” – Joe Glasgow
  • “This book is a good read for any man who cares enough about his current or future partner to wish to gain even a grain of insight. Quick, light read that delivers a valuable message for men in a nonthreatening way.” – review (4/5 stars)
  • “A weird combo of really funny and really insightful.” – Anonymous beta reader
  • “This book has helped my marriage. It helped me find out where my wife was coming from. She has always told me I need to help out but I never understood how she viewed it. I am happy to say I now help out about three times as much, and I think it is definitely improving the household.  –Anonymous beta reader

I would enjoy a copy simply because my boyfriend is Dutch and I am American; and even though he understands spoken/written English very well, I feel there are still a few things that get lost in translation.

  2. Stephanie

I wasn’t chosen for your last book giveaway, and this one sounds great too, so I’m throwing my hat in the ring. :)

  3. Wendy

I would love to have a copy of this book so I can make it required reading of any guy with whom I intend to have a relationship. Yes, I will have a required reading list.

  4. I’m reading “No Children, No Guilt” right now, and I’m loving it, but it’s on my kindle, so I can’t strategically place it on the coffee table for my husband to come across. I would love a paperback version of “What Every Woman Wishes Modern Men Knew About Women” so I can leave it out for my husband to find once I’m done reading it.

I want to win a copy of WEWWMMKAW so that when I attempt to educate the men in my life, I have paperback evidence that I’m not “just making this %!$# up”. Plus, having a signed copy is just plain awesome!

  6. Hi Sylvia, Debbie here. I commented on Girlfriend Mom’s post about your book and wanted to let you know that I read the excerpt of your book and it cracked me up. I laughed out loud. I also wanted to comment on your comment to my comment … (that was a mouthful), YES … things SHOULD CHANGE! I don’t know why it is that women still revert to the 1950’s idea of marriage and men still expect females to do it all. I never, EVER, imagined I’d be that woman. The Mexican background probably doesn’t help! Anywhoo … just wanted to tell you I agree with you 100%.

  7. p.s. I did a post on this very subject last year titled “Feminism is Not a NO NO” dated Wednesday, January 13, 2010. If you wanna have a laugh, check it out.
